Instructions: 1) Make ice cream base (NOTE: It should cool in fridge overnight) 2) Make 3/4 cup strawberry syrup (NOTE: IT should cool in fridge overnight) 3) Combine ice cream base + Strawberry syrup + optional red food coloring to give a nice pink color (keep cool in fridge until ready to use) - can make early 4) Combine chopped strawberries + sugar + sit for 10-20 min. Macerating in sugar helps them not freeze and stay softer in ice cream.
